Welcome to St. George’s Anglican Church in Devon!

Whether you’re exploring faith, returning to church after some time away, or visiting from another tradition, we are truly glad you’re here. When you arrive, you’re welcome to speak with the greeter, our rector, or any parishioner; everyone is happy to help you feel comfortable. After each service, we warmly invite you to join us for refreshments in the basement, a relaxed time to meet people and connect with our community.

Frequently Asked Questions

What about my kids?
Children of all ages are joyfully welcomed at St. George’s. Each Sunday begins with a children’s talk during the service, where young ones can enjoy a small craft or follow-up activity before returning to sit with their families.

How do I pray for someone?
If you would like someone added to our weekly prayer list, you may email the church or speak with the greeter before the service. We would be honoured to pray with you and for you.

How can I meet people?
The easiest way is to join us downstairs after the service for coffee, tea, and conversation. It’s a warm, informal space where newcomers quickly feel at home.

How is the service laid out?
Everything you need is in the bulletin, or will direct you to the relevant page of our prayer book, the Book of Alternative Services (BAS). Our services include prayers, Bible readings, a sermon, music led by our pianist, and Holy Communion. All are welcome to participate.

I’m not Anglican, can I receive Holy Communion?
Yes. All baptised Christians are welcome to receive Holy Communion at St. George’s. If you are not baptised or prefer to receive a blessing instead, come forward with your arms crossed over your chest.
